Vitamin D3

     Vitamin D3 is a fat soluble substance and can also be stored in the soft tissues of a body. There are mainly two varieties of the D type of vitamin – ergo-calciferol and chole-calciferol. The first type is found in herring, tuna, eggs, baked items, fortified milk, mackerel, sardines and cereals. The second type is produced within the body after sun exposure.

     Vitamin D3 is vital in maintaining healthy bones and teeth. It helps in calcium absorption, bone building, bone mass and also ensures muscle strength. It reduces the risk of 3 cancer conditions, namely breast, colon and prostrate.

     Vitamin D3 also

boosts the immune system, prevents auto immune diseases and helps in curing rheumatoid arthritis. Vitamin D3 is known to prevent and cure rickets. In case of a fall by patients who have a high risk for osteoporosis and osteomalacia, it prevents severe fractures from developing. It also prevents Type 1 diabetes from becoming worse and positively influences Multiple Sclerosis. 

     Rickets is a deadly disease, mainly occurring in children, that is a result of Vitamin D3 deficiency. Rickets is characterized by deformed, weak and soft bones and teeth. For adults, osteoporosis, type 1 diabetes, and certain cancers are the problems associated with vitamin D3 deficiency.
